Sullivan sad no mo?

1B Joe Sullivan has asked to be, not traded, but re-signed. The 28-year-old believes he's
playing at the peak of his abilities and has finally settled into a Hawaiian groove his third
season with the Tropics.
He blasted 6 home runs in 60 at bats in April, hitting .350; and has returned to a full time
starting role in May. He leads the team at slugging (.598) and he is on pace for his first 30-HR
season since 2001. Last year he had 19 home runs and his lowest career slugging percentage.
Manager Chavez has stated that Sully will start every game at first the rest of the season,
provided he stays healthy.
Team spokesperson Stitch Lilo reports that Sullivan has agreed in principle to a multi-year
contract in the range of $2.4m a season, a 30% discount off the slugger's current salary.
