Batter of the Sim

SS Jack Eoff
Jack continues to impress at the tail end of his career, and once again, finds himself to be the Batter of the Sim. In 9 games, he hit .375/.389/.688 with 3 HR and 8 RBI. On the year he is hitting .320/.364/.490 with 4 HR and 20 RBI. His .320 batting average is good for the team lead. Eoff has taken off offensively since he was dropped to the last spot in the lineup part way through last season.
Runner Up: LF Corey Warr .368/.429/.605 1 HR 5 RBI (.213/.280/.374 6 HR 15RBI on the season)
Pitcher of the Sim

SP Steve Taub
Taub also continues to have a great season. In 2 starts he went 1-1 with a 1.69 ERA in 16 IP, striking out 23. On the season he is 4-5 with a 2.97 ERA with 62 K's. Steve is not known as a strike out pitcher, but his 62 K's have him among the league leaders. He has been everything that management had hoped for and more. Look for him to be shopped if the team's fall continues.
Runner Up: CL Jeffrey Martin 5 games, 6.2 IP, 2 saves, 9 K's (2.87 ERA 5 saves on the season)
JackHole of the Sim

OF Tulio Poblano
Tulio who? We barely know him either. Forced to play because of the rash of injuries, Tulio has done what he has done every time he's given the chance. Disappoint. In 30 AB's over 8 games he hit .167/.235/.167 with 0 HR and 2 RBI. On the season he is hitting .171/.231/.171 with 0 HR and 2 RBI. If he wants to stick around, he need to pick it up a little.
Runner Up: C Jeremy Small .130/.231/.174 0 HR 2 RBI (.133/.188/.178 0 HR 3 RBI on the season)
News and Notes
Once again, the injury bug has bit the team. All-Star Catcher Sam Brewington has been lost for 4-6 weeks with a hamstring injury. There will be a huge drop off in production with FA Signee Jeremy Small (see the JackHole above) manning the catcher spot. Career minor leaguer Raul Solano has been called up to back up Small. Solano has no business being in the bigs, but he has option years left.......RF Robert Harrell returns to action after a stint on the DL......subpar pitching and a revitalized Chicago team continue to sink the hopes in Phoenix. Keep a close eye on the trade block as the season progresses.....Go Talons!
