The Yellow Springs Nine are pleased to announce all three of their minor league teams playing currently are above .500 for the first time under new GM Rob McMonigal

The Indianapolis Downforce are 21-18, and in third place. Led by a stellar pitching staff of Corey McGuire, Luis Abdul-Halim, Ken Plante, Jeffrey Flowers, and Marquis Jeffes, who combine for the 4th best starter ERA in the league, while the bullpen is ranked second. Dave O'Reilly, converted from starter, has been amazing, with 9 saves and 2.11 ERA. Micah Murphy has a .313 average, 20 RBIs and 7 home runs to drive the offense.

The Santa Cruz Spartans are alsp 21-18 and also in third place. Ed Greenwood leads the charge of the starters, with a 4-3 record and a 2.85 ERA. He also has 53 strikeouts. But the offense is the key here, with first in average and OBP behind Mike Woodruff's .439 batting average. But also starring are Ellis Lord and his .361 and Phil Tatham at .352. The team is also second in runs scored, OPS, and batting WAR. The team is 4th in the league in home runs, powering everything forward.

The Silver Springs Tarpons bring a 20-19 record to the table. Building on last year's success after several years of failure, the team is really a sum of its parts, gelling together to get the job done. Pitcher Erwin Sevier is 5-0 with a 3.33 ERA, while closer Bob English has 10 saves. Rising stars Felix Abernathy (.286, 6 HR, 26 RBI) and Edgar Barron (.264, 6 HR, 19 RBIs) set the bar on offense.

"I said when I was hired, I would install a culture of winning up and down the organization" said GM Rob McMonigal. We've started to see it at the lowest levels, with the Roadrunners going to the playoffs multiple years in a row. Now it's extending to the highest minor leagues. And soon, maybe not this season but soon, the Nine will join them."
