Can things get any worse in Omaha for the Barnstormers???Injury after injury to the starting line-up as leadoff hitter CF Armando Santos gone for 2 months,rookie LF Will Simmons out 3 weeks with a broken thumb and veteran 2B Lance Pere still out for another 3 weeks."With our weak pitching we can't afford any more injuries or we are in deep ga-ga,"GM Kiggins told reporters.In other bad news newly acquired OF Monty Lynch has told the team he will test FA at the end of the season so is up for trade for a prospect if your team is in the running and needs an extra bat down the road.The Barnstormers did play better ball in May finishing 2 games under .500 at 13-15 but with the pitching still one of the worse in the league and hitting in the middle unless things turn around it looks like another disappointing season for the fans in Omaha.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH:
Jeffery Stowell(.356/1/4) David Cutright (.333/0/11)
These two players replaced Pere at 2nd base and the coaching staff could not of asked for more as both played played above and beyond the call of duty.Lacking the long ball threat(only 1 HR all month) they did hit and get on base.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH:
Pat Combs
After a disappointing start to the season last year Combs was the team's best pitcher with the Barnstormers winning his last 4 starts.Would this be a "MIRACLE"!!!

PLAYER OF THE MONTH AAA:
Eric Rouse(.337/4/20)
Having a solid May the 19 year right fielder is making the coaches stand up and take notice.Although still a couple of years away the young star has showed he can hit the ball at any level.
