Mexico City: Dave Corfield solidified his place in league history after recording his 250th career victory. Corfield earned his 250th win at home in front of 39,610 fans in the Quetzalcoatl Dome.
The win came against the Phoenix Talons, in which he went 8 2/3 innings, surrendering no runs on only 1 hit while striking out 8 batters.
"I've worked hard for this day," Corfield said. "I go out to the mound every start and just try to help the team as best I can. To get this milestone win in front of our home crowd makes it even more special.
Corfield has compiled a 251-135 mark during his career and a 3.42 ERA with 3,201 strikeouts
