Norman, 25, has been a key offensive force for the Des Moines Kernels over the past four seasons, boasting a career .300/.350/.528 slash line with 108 home runs and 367 RBIs in 546 BBA games. The Wolves’ front office wasted no time bringing in the young slugger, who will now be suiting up for Madison instead of terrorizing their pitching staff as a division rival.
Wolves GM Simon expressed excitement about landing one of the most consistent hitters in the BBA.
"Ricardo has been one of the best bats in the division for years, and now he’s on our side," said Simon. "He brings elite power, great on-base skills, and a strong defensive presence at first base. To get a player like him in his prime, while taking him away from a rival, is a massive win for our club."
Norman is coming off another strong season in 2061, where he hit .284 with 19 home runs, 27 doubles, and 81 RBIs while posting a 120 wRC+. His best season came in 2060, when he blasted 38 homers, drove in 106 runs, and hit .312 with a .955 OPS, earning MVP consideration.
Now, Norman will bring his potent bat to a Wolves lineup looking to take the next step in its championship aspirations.
"Madison showed me they’re serious about winning," said Norman. "I’ve battled against this team for years, and I know how passionate the fans are. I’m excited to be part of a team that’s building something special, and I can’t wait to take the field at Schotz Stadium."
With Norman anchoring the middle of the lineup, Madison gains a premier offensive weapon while simultaneously weakening a key competitor in Des Moines. Fans can expect to see their new star first baseman in action when the Wolves take the field for Opening Day 2062.
