Standing at 6'5" and throwing sidearm with an impressive 92-94 mph fastball, Gil boasts a well-rounded arsenal that includes a fastball, curveball, slider, changeup, and splitter. Known for his impressive movement and home run suppression, Gil’s potential grades make him a powerful addition to the Wolves’ pitching pipeline. His 3.59 career ERA in college, along with 223 strikeouts over 183 innings, demonstrates his ability to control games and get out of tough situations.
“We had Jesus Gil targeted as the top pitcher on our board this year,” said Wolves GM Simon. “His combination of movement, control, and ability to induce ground balls at a high rate makes him an exciting prospect for our organization. We’re confident he has the tools to be a key piece of our rotation in the future and can't wait to see him develop in our system.” Miyamoto has already called me, and he can't wait to work with the kid." Simon added.
The Wolves look forward to working with Gil and helping him reach his full potential as he begins his professional career.
