MADISON, WI - December 17. 2060 - The Madison Wolves are thrilled to announce the signing of relief pitcher Clint Thomas to a three-year, $26 million contract. Known for his devastating curveball and strong sinker, the 29-year-old New Orleans native brings a wealth of experience and talent to Madison’s bullpen. With over 450 career appearances in the BBA, Thomas has consistently been a reliable arm in high-leverage situations, racking up 72 career saves and a 3.69 career ERA.

In his most recent season with the Sacramento club, Thomas posted a 3.11 ERA across 48 games, striking out 59 batters over 72.1 innings with an impressive 1.06 WHIP. Known for his ability to keep the ball on the ground and out of the stands, he held batters to a .255 batting average and showcased his elite control with only 21 walks.

General Manager Simon expressed his excitement about the acquisition, saying, “Clint is a guy we've had our eyes on for a while. His command of the mound and his experience in tough spots make him exactly the type of pitcher we want in our bullpen. Not only does he bring a ton of skill with that nasty curveball, but he’s got the mentality and leadership we need to help us make a serious push this season.”

Head Coach Will Myers echoed those sentiments, adding, “Clint’s presence really helps stabilize our bullpen. He has a calm under pressure that’s contagious, and his ability to miss bats will be a big boost for us. We’ve had our ups and downs in late innings, but with Clint, I’m confident we’re bringing in someone who can help us shut down opponents and close out games effectively.”

Standing at 6'3" and 195 pounds, Thomas combines his size and skill to command respect on the mound. Known nationally for his popularity and charisma, Clint has already built a reputation as a fan favorite and is expected to bring a surge of excitement to the Wolves' fanbase.

Clint Thomas will join a Madison bullpen in need of a consistent arm, and with his reputation for resilience and skill, he is ready to make an impact from day one. Madison fans can look forward to seeing Thomas take the mound and anchor the Wolves’ relief corps as they push for a successful 2061 season.

Welcome to Madison, Clint Thomas!
