While the MBBA does not use scouts to help teams deepen their talent pool, that doesn't mean teams don't have friendly eyes trying to help discover good ball players around the country and around the world. Occasionally those friendly eyes discover a player that could potentially help out a ballclub. It appears those eyes may have discovered such a player for the Wolves this week.

While GM Chris Wilson wouldn't mention who the source was that found their new addition to the club, he was all willing to discuss the new pitcher the Wolves will have in their organization.

"Kevin McGlinchy" said GM Chris Wilson. "A big, right handed relief pitcher that we expect to one day be on the Wolves staff. We will know more when McGlincy arrives in Madison this week for some more work with our coaching staff to see what we really have."

According to more reports from Wilson, McGlinchy is only 23 years of age and was playing in a little known independent league called "Major League Baseball" where he was on a team stationed in Atlanta, Georgia. After doing some digging, McGlinchy had some nice stats in this league, going 7-3 as a 22 year old with a 2.82 ERA in 70.1 innings pitched. He struck out 67. However, this past season, Kevin was used for only 8.1 innings, where he was still solid, posting a 2.16 ERA. Efforts to contact this Atlanta team have failed to find out why Kevin was not used more after having such a successful rookie season.
