28.6. Players React to Stadium Changes

Post by agrudez » Thu Sep 01, 2016 10:34 pm

For those whom aren't already aware, the Phantoms adjusted their park this offseason to push their LHB HRs to the max of 1.2. The other modifiers for the stadium have remained neutral, but this one change alone has arguably made Huntsville the second most LHB friendly stadium in the otherwise largely pitcher friendly JL - behind only HFX (1.2 LHB HR, 1.07 LHB AVG). As such, there have been mixed feelings amongst the Huntsville clubhouse - here are some snippets.

-----

1B Fernando Moreno

"Are you serious?! Shit, man... I'm going to chase some records!"

-----

2B Gerardo Guzman

"Uh... so? Everyone knows speed kills.*"

*Please note, neither the Huntsville organization nor any of its associated members in management endorse this statement

"Wait, what did you just say?"

-----

SP Fernando Moran

"Ugh... you have to be kidding me. I finally get out of Brooklyn's launching pad to come to *this*?"

-----

3B Hunter Eisenhower

*soft sobs and inaudible mumblings*

-----

CF Mauro Ibanez

"Welp, looks like being a one trick pony isn't so bad after all!"

-----

RP Miguel Lara

"Home runs? What are those?"
