A 13-15 record in June is certainly better than the team's performance a month earlier. Even though the club is 38-45 on the season, they sit a mere 4 games out of the JL Atlantic Division lead. However, injuries to two key bullpen arms will likely enlarge that deficit to 10 or more games come August.
Starter of the Month

Oscar "Lets Get" Funke
I know, its sad. The only reason Ol' Oscar is even here is because he is the only starter to register an ERA under 5 for the month. His 2-2, 4.23 performance in June was the best that anyone in the rotation can muster.
Reliever of the Month

Aurelio Rodriguez
You may recall that A-Rod has been the closer for quite some time now, well over a month. And, you say, hey its pretty good that the closer is the Reliever of the Month. Then you see his stats: 1-1 with a 0.96 ERA and 4 saves in 9.1 innings. Yep, then it hits you. This team is so bad that the closer pitched only eight times all month. Pathetic.
Infielder of the Month

Darius Campbell, Jr
Campbell missed most of April and a good part of May with a fractured hand. Its definitely good to see King Darius back to form in June with a .355/.400/.626 performance that included 5 homers and 20 RBI. Unfortunately, Campbell has developed a pronounced platoon split and will likely never reach the superstar status that was envisioned when he was drafted. This will have a big influence on the amount of any extension the Bobs wish to pursue with him.
Outfielder of the Month

Jim Wilson
Yep, its him again, Ol' Country Justice himself. A June line of .358, 9 homers and 29 RBI cements Wilson as the leader of this team. He already has career totals of 165 HR and 432 RBI after only 3 and a half full seasons.
INJURY REPORT
RP Ed Widdicombe has been diagnosed with Shoulder Inflammation and will miss the rest of the season.
RP Benigo Escolerd is experiencing soreness in his elbow and may not return until August
