In 2061, The Bluebirds saw several players graduate to the BBA. 4 of the 6 tops vote getters for the Guillstrom were Bluebirds, including winner, David Lopez, who wasn’t even in Nashville’s top 10 prospects. Armando Ortíz was runner-up, and may have won the award if he didn’t spend some time in AAA. He also wasn’t in the top-10. This speaks to the depth of their system and while it isn’t loaded with blue chip prospects anymore, it is still deep with quality prospects. Bin-ying ‘Bye Bye’ Yen could have easily been a Gillstrom winner if he had more service time, but only pitched half the year in Nashville. He could be a Nebraska winner this year. Fernando Sanchez spent some time in Nashville, but wasn’t able to unleash his potential and is looking to improve this season. This year’s crop of promotions will include, at a minimum, Michael Cantu and Carter ‘Fortnite’ Cramer, though their roles will be minimal.

I’m not sure I’ve ever agreed with OSA’s top 10, but here we are. And it’s mostly in order, too. Javier Basanta didn’t make the list, but that’s just because of uncertainty coming off a torn rotator cuff. He’s already lost a big chunk of stamina, but should still be a quality pitcher with reliever conversion written all over him. After that, there’s just a bunch of mid-level prospects with their own warts. No real big ceiling guys, but several who just need a bump or two to become legitimate prospects. SSLau-po Chau was highly touted, but seems to be trending downwards, which is concerning given how raw he already is, so he was removed from the list along with former #1 overall prospect, Zee-loo Tsao.
All of these players are expected to contribute at the BBA level at some point in the near future. Surely, this list is likely to change over time and several youngsters may have been snubbed, but these are the ten candidates most likely to contribute in the future. Hopefully we see many of these faces with the Bluebirds, but surely some will fall victim to a trades to help improve the team. Either way, they are all valued commodities for the organization and will help lead the way to more titles.
