Is it over, just like that? An 11-17 May has sabotaged a decent opening month. Mike Clarke's injury setback didn't help matters, but he is now back and raking once again. And rumors are starting to circulate of a possible big trade to stay in the Wild Card race.
Oh, and Shawn MacKeamish has won another Rookie of the Month award. YAWN.
Starter of the Month

Aaron Fidler
Ugh, not too much to choose from. Still, as always, the club's greatest weakness. But Fidler was the best of a mediocre lot, going 2-1 with a 4.24 ERA and 23K in 34 innings for the month.
Reliever of the Month

Chase Pack
Signed off the scrap heap after being released by Des Moines in April, The Bobs signed Pack in May to help out in middle relief. His 0.64 ERA in 14 innings of work has helped make the Washington bullpen the 5th best in the JL.
Infielder of the Month

Paco Morales
Paco's back!!! A spring training injury kept him out of most of the preseason action, and Morales struggled through an understandably slow April. But in May Paco was back with a vengeance, hitting .385 with 9 homers and 20 RBI for the month, picking up a JL Player of the Week honor along the way. Tacos for everyone!
Outfielder of the Month

Method Man Smith
He's not exactly a center fielder, folks, but he can hit. With a prolonged slump from LF Jim Wilson, Smith's .287-7-14 performance was tops among Bobwhite outfielders. Combine that with a good April, and suddenly Smith is second on the club in RBI.
Injury Report
NONE! (Ugh, can't believe we actually typed that. This CANNOT be good.....)
