Washington, DC--
Despite mid-month injuries to SP Ron Burgundy and RF Mike Clarke, the Bobwhites are 14-12 with a +12 run differential. They trail JL Atlantic Division leader Baltimore by 4.5 games.
Starter of the Month

Chester Palabra
Word! Even though he is still getting stretched out in the starter's role, Palabra sits at 2-2 with a 3.77 ERA. In his most recent start, Chester threw 7.1 innings and gave up 2 runs on 7 hits over 99 pitches. Not bad for a former closer!
Reliever of the Month

Damario Poso
Poso was signed to a low risk FA deal last winter in order to stabilize the middle of the pen, and he has delivered. In 15 innings of work thus far, the control artist has recorded a 1.80 ERA.
Infielder of the Month

Shawn MacKeamish
Neil McKinney deserves consideration, but we all know what he can do. Instead, lets give this to Washington's latest Newcomer of the Year candidate, 2B MacKeamish. Little Mac was named JL Rookie of the Month for his performance in April, which saw him hit .314/.342/.477.
Outfielder of the Month

Jim Wilson
This second year left fielder leads the team in home runs and RBI. Not to mention the fact that Spring Training has been very kind to the 24 year old, as Wilson's Con/Gap/Pow ratings are up to 9/9/10. He is still on pace to K once a game for the season, but the Bobbies will take it.
