With pockets full of cash, the Nashville Bluebirds have traded for Charlotte 2B, Marvin Isworth. The move makes sense for both squads.
2B Marvin Isworth
Nashville was in need of a 2B after fan favorite, Jesús Yan, was sold for cash last season. Without a permanent solution to fill the void and being well under the salary cap, Isworth should bat near the top of the Bluebirds lineup. In addition to landing Isworth, Charlotte sent pitching prospects, Jon Brown and Gamal bin Badr, as incentive for taking on the remainder of Isworth’s contract. Nashville sent prospect, Rich Dares, to Charlotte to complete the deal.
Isworth is a career .315 hitter.
