On a cold late October day at the Truck Plant, GM BP sat in his office pondering how long he could keep fooling the old man. "I can't believe he bought my explanation for the Ploughman trade," he thought to himself. "Any other owner would have pulled the plug on me. I just got to keep sounding confident and keep the bourbon flowing for him."

Then, his rarely used landline rung and awoke him from his deep introspection. "Oh, hi Scott. How is retirement treating you?" It was Scott Torres.

"Not too bad boss, I mean BP," replied Scott. "I am getting a little bored though. I was wondering if I could ask you for a favor."

"Sure, go for it."

"Well, with the 80M you gave me for the six seasons in Louisville, I built my family our dream country home outside of Bowling Green. I hear you just fired their manager, so I was wondering if you would be willing to give me a shot at managing the team? I am only 35 so I think the kids could relate to me better. What do you think?"

"Um, can you pay back the 80M? Just kidding. Why not. You can't be worse than what I had right? Right?"

And it was done. A move that wasn't even worthy to be reported by the Bowling Green sports blogosphere.
