Mack Milholm (Above)
Greeneville, NC -- The Moonshiners agreed to terms with starting pitcher Mack Milholm. The two sides reached a five-year deal, 35 million contract,
which makes him the 3rd highest-paid pitcher in Moonshiners payroll right now, 2 million behind Closer Brendan Meyer and Tyree Willis.

The former first-round pick in 1999 draft, Milholm has been a decent starter for Greeneville since his call up in 2001.
Milholm best year as Moonshiner was in 2007, where he won 21 games for the Moonshiners. Currently, he's has 7 wins and 17 losses with 4.41 ERA in 241.1 innings.

Also in the news, Moonshiners signed relief pitcher - Armando Sandoval, one-year 700K contract. This season, Sandoval has an ERA of 4.58 in 53 innings.

A very nice pitcher on a very nice contract - color me jealous! I think this season will end up being remembered as Milholm's "coming out party", personally. A 4 K:BB ratio (vs. a 1.67 K:BB ratio career average prior to the season) and a 3.35 FIP (hidden a bit by a .347 BABIP) are legit ace numbers. '08 has definitely been a significantly better year that '07 for him, btw - despite the higher ERA and worse record.

Let me put in this way, I made some mistakes handling my SPs in Omaha, and I'm not doing that again! lol

Good SP are really hard to come by in MBWBA, so if you have a decent starter, make sure you pay the guy. FA in MBWBA is effin' competitive.
