Dan Manville
July stats: .333/.386/.789, 3 2BH, 12 HR, 32 RBI, 23 R in 90 at-bats
Just like Reddie Ray in June, winning the Johnson League batter of the month award means you win the team's batter of the month award. Manville's stellar July helped keep the Greenville offense going just strongly enough to make it out of the month without falling any further behind Baltimore.
Starter
Jay Lee
July stats: 5-1, 3.16 ERA, 37 K, 9 BB, 38 HA in 42.2 innings (2 complete games, 1 shutout)
Once again, Lee is the team's best starter. Surprise, surprise. He had one bad outing against Omaha on July 21 (4.2 IP, 8 H, 7 R), but otherwise pitched very well in July, including complete-game victories over Valencia and Baltimore.
Reliever
Kenneth Logan
July stats: 1-0, 1 save, 0.87 ERA, 0.69 WHIP, 8 K, 3 BB, 4 HA in 10.1 innings
Logan struggled in two starts filling in for suspended Ray Weighill (8 runs, 18 hits in 10 innings), but as a reliever during July he was nothing short of brilliant.
