Jack See
May stats: .348/.394/.641, 3 2BH, 8 HR, 21 RBI, 14 R, 16 K, 7 BB in 92 at-bats
Signed to an extension after last year in order to make sure the team had someone who could play first or second and not have to rush Roman Empire to the majors before he was ready, See has been far better than expected so far. The 34-year-old veteran is having a career year, posting personal bests as a starter in all three parts of his slash line. He's even playing pretty well at the keystone spot with a .990 fielding percentage and 3.2 zone rating.
Starter

Corey Haim
May stats: 3-0, 3.48 ERA, 44 H, 26 K, 1 BB in 6 starts (44 innings)
He didn't have the most wins in the month -- that was honorable mention candidate Hipolito Pichardo and his 4 -- but Haim posted an outrageous K-to-BB ratio and had the team's first shutout of the season. Whether he can keep that up remains to be seen, but Haim looks ready for a shot at matching last year's 19-8 mark.
Reliever

Garlands P. Gumpdrop
May stats: 2-0, 5 saves, 1.29 ERA, 15 K, 3 BB in 13 games (14.0 innings)
After struggling in April (0-2, 9.82 ERA), Gumdrop settled in throughout May, doing exactly what the team hoped he could do when it named him closer before the season. In fact, this recent stretch of success means the team may even give him a few longer outings to see if he can help take some of the pressure and workload off the rest of the bullpen.
