The 1-5 record in one-run games for the season along with a -1 run differential have at least four people in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn excited about what the future may hold for their beloved Robins. Small tweaks to the lineup, pitching staff, or roster could help even out those one-run games
"There were a couple cars I didn't recognize parked on the street, so I figured something must have been going on over there. Sometimes they hold flea markets or a bake sale," said Rosie Buttershmutz whose home sits across the street from the main entrance to the Robins' ballpark. "When my husband walked over to check the billboard with the stadium's schedule, it said there was a baseball game going on. What's weird is, when he was over there, he thought he heard someone cheer, which we found odd, because we're pretty used to only hearing moans and groans during the bird team's games. The moans actually help my daughter sleep, but if there's going to be cheers over there, we may have to sue or something."

Despite the hope the three victories provided, GM Shoeless made additional changes to the roster and lineup moving into the third sim of the season.
"Don't get me wrong, I will always love and respect the play of Dallas Dixon," Shoeless said from his office late Monday. "But I can't look at my computer screen and see that little snowflake icon next to his name signaling he's in a slump. It's cold enough for baseball in April in Brooklyn, we don't need any of our players causing it to get any colder, so I waived him."
Dixon's roster spot and place in the order will be replaced by another former member of the Sacramento Mad Popes who played under Shoeless' general managing. Unem Ploid was called up from AAA San Francisco and was on the next bus out of town to meet up with the team in the middle of their series at Jacksonville.
"Why the hell is our AAA team in San Francisco?" Shoeless asked, throwing his arms up in disgust. "God damnit! Now I need to spend 10 more PPT next offseason so that doesn't bother me. I've always thought the Ducktown district in Atlantic City would be a great place for a AAA team. Hmm .. maybe the Ducktown Quackers. You know, kind of a play on Quakers, but Quackers because that's the sound ducks make .. I think you guys are following me, right?"
Also new to the lineup moving forward is outfielderJuan Hernandez who was called up from AA Plum Island. He replaces Onan Ogun who struggled out of the gate like Dixon and is another victim of Shoeless' complete lack of any semblance of patience.
"There's a couple other guys under the microscope that could find themselves .. under the microscope on Plum Island," Shoeless continued. "I know I've made a big hubbub over the lack of baseball players left to me in this organization, but there were quite a few pieces brought in on the downlow which were very solid acquisitions. Tip of the hat to the prior management for that, to be sure."
