Brooklyn State of Mind: Announcing the X Generation (2053.1)

Post by lordtoffee » Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:04 pm

At a press conference at Ebbets Field, the Brooklyn Robins are proud to introduce a new brand of Robins baseball. No, this isn't a total relocation or changing of the iconic Robins brand. After a couple of disappointing Robins seasons, it was decided that this is the right time to take the next step in getting the Robins back to BBA contention. This new brand is called the X Generation.

The Robins come into Opening Day predicted to finish bottom, but the future is bright. With the third ranked farm system in the BBA, it's time for the future Robins stars of tomorrow to get their chance. Which is why the team is thrilled to announce that Emilio Morales Jr, Stephen Clulow Jr, and Isa Talib will be on the opening day roster with Morales starting at third, and Clulow getting the ball for Opening Night against Charm City. The X Generation has been waiting their chance and after discussions around the baseball operations team, it was decided that the Robins fans should get to see the new era start right now.

Tickets for Opening Night are available, and as part of a promotion with Coney Island all fans in attendance will get a discount on their next visit to the famous amusement park. One lucky fan will even get a Gold Season Pass for life as part of a contest after the 7th inning stretch.

I'll be paying close attention to this strategy. Hope you have really good development on your coaching staff.

Also, noticed you have Geloran, Jr. playing SS. *cringe*

I've got a TN in place to explain the strategy and why this isn't an attempt to break any rules.

Not even a thought that any rules were being broken- don't misinterpret me. :)
