Baltimore Times, 1.1 (10/20/15)

Baltimore, Maryland- The prestigious Baltimore Monarchs have announced the addition of a new GM, following the dismissal of the previous GM after a rough 66 win season. The new head man will be Dale Stevens, out of Virginia. Stevens is green horn, but is one of baseballs great young minds. Known to be a statistical guru, look for Stevens to piece together some great teams.

During his press conference, Stevens outlined his 5-year plan, which really sounds like a rebuilding plan. He was quoted saying, "We'll win by year 3 or 4, expect a championship year 5 Baltimore." Very ambitious words for the very inexperienced GM, who's counterparts have years of experience and knowledge that he does not. Stevens expects the road to the top to be very tough, but not impossible. The team already has some very good pieces, including 1B Lucio Vazquez and SS Raven Rider.

Stevens did also say, that moves will be made, even saying, "Don't be surprised if this whole team isn't here when opening day strikes 2017." That would sure as hell be a statement, if Stevens could turn this whole team over and still somehow find a way to compete. When asked about the 2016 draft, Stevens let out a big smile and looked very excited. The order was just recently announced, and as of right now, Baltimore holds the 8th pick. Stevens said the team has no real pitchers that appeal to him, so he'll be looking to use that pick on a good arm, preferably a power arm.

As of right now, not much is known out of Baltimore, but the one thing we do know, is that the future looks bright, very bright.

Baltimore was a very veteran team and sold out a little to win a title a couple years ago, so you have a little bit of a road back ahead of you. At least your farm isn't totally broke.
