After the DNC was over Charlotte officially broke ground on BB&T Stadium which will host the White Sox' AAA affiliate Charlotte Knights (who have been playing in Fort Mill, SC). It will be ready for the 2014 season and will seat 8,500 with overflow space to 10k...seems small for a AAA stadium in the middle of a large city. They released this rendering yesterday and the 2nd one is a pic from the ceremony yesterday where home plate will be so you can see the skyline will be featured beyond the outfield wall pretty much no matter where fans sit.
