untappd

Post by 7teen » Wed Jan 20, 2016 12:45 pm

Anyone else on this app? For those unaware, it's the social media for beer drinkers. As a relative noob to beer drinking, I like seeing what others are having and how they rate it

not yet but I just started drinking beer again about 3 months ago. For the time being I am staying with porters and stouts... and away from pilsners and lagers. I will definitely check this out a bit more.

Pretty neat to see what other people are drinking and how they rank it. I'm still new to trying new stuff. Finally getting myself away from the sissy and light beers. Bought a VA brewed IPA last night that was pretty good. My local grocery store typically carries a pretty wide range of beer outside of the typical stuff.

I'm CWilson17 on there if you ever download the app. Looking to add as many "friends" as possible just to keep track of stuff to try.

Not on app and won't be.
Will drink my 10,000,000th beer this year.
There is draft Guinness (but only in UK/Ireland - it's different in NA) and there is everything else.

Hey Nigel
Wife and I will be back in the UK and Ireland for five weeks in May/June. This time it's a week in the Cotswolds (Chipping Campden), then a week in Dingle (Co. Kerry - our Irish "home"), five days in Galway, two days in Dublin (been there lots), a week in Craster (Northumberland), and three days in Cambridge. I'll be trying some new beers and cask ales along the way.

You get around lol. You'll find some good pubs in Cambridge, don't really know Craster myself and doubtless Chipping Camden will provide some wonderful country pubs. Hope you have a good time

I have been drinking beer a long, long time, but I have never really gotten onto the Kraft, Independent Brewer type beers. I do enjoy Guinness now and then but tend to stick to the more mainstream type beer. Pale Ale's like Rolling Rock and Alexander Keith's.
