Discuss. Originally when we did this it was to phase out the Major Leaguers connected to each team. We'll still have MLB defectors each season, but this would be another league which would be at a level below the MBBA's (either an independent league or like an overseas league), where we would be "affiliated" with a team or two there and be able to have a PP reward to sign those players before they reach free agency (like Japanese posting program)?

I liked the idea of it before but looking back we should have made a small league overseas, made the foreigner percentage like 95%, and done it that way. Doesn't need to be 24 teams, it could be as few as 6 (and have each team correspond to a division).

I'm sold on the overseas league idea, now let's brainstorm out the details.

First off, I need to ask if there is a reason that each team has 2-4 prospects with maxed out potentials? Is there a talent glut here? Or do we find it's just that the overall talent level is consistently high but it works?

If we do an AABA type league, how will players be created and developed to fit this league? And, if we do a 6 team league, which I'm cool with, how do we determine which teams get signing priority in any given division? Will these players all be good, or generally marginal prospects?

I think we should be VERY cautious about adding excessive talent to an already talent-bloated league.

I was thinking the same thing. MBBA was always a high talent league, which is fine. But adding more high talent to that may be a bit scary.

I need some alternate reward options, then.

We can't assume the MBBA will always be talent rich, I favour a six team Cuban league with a posting system (similar to Japanese league but the fee represents the amount needed to smuggle the signing out of Cuba)
