Teams may make several alterations to their current ballparks (relocation and construction of new parks is detailed in another section):

Alter Playing Surface:Additional seats must be purchased in blocks of 100 seats. No more than 5,000 seats may be added during one off-season and no ballpark may exceed 65,000 seats. Construction costs are as follows:

- 35,100-45,000: $40,000 per 100 seats
- 45,100-55,000: $70,000 per 100 seats
- 55,100-65,000: $100,000 per 100 seats
- 30-35K seats: maintenance factor of 0.8
- 35-40K seats: maintenance factor of 0.9
- 40-45K seats: maintenance factor of 0.95
- 45-50K seats: maintenance factor of 1
- 50-55K seats: maintenance factor of 1.05
- 55-60K seats: maintenance factor of 1.1
- 60-65K seats: maintenance factor of 1.2
Build a Roof:Install Grass: Free – Grass costs a base $500,000/year to maintain.
Install Artificial Turf: $5,000,000 – Turf is free to maintain each year.
Move Fences: Alter your ballpark’s various hit factors.Permanent Roof – Convert your ballpark into a dome for $5,000,000. This renovation cannot be undone once selected and costs a base $500,000/year to maintain.
Retractable Roof – Add a retractable roof for $10,000,000. This renovation cannot be undone once selected and costs a base $1,000,000/year to maintain.
The cost is 10 PP and $2,500,000 per factor changed (for unlimited changes to that one factor). Teams may, during the season they are renovating, change multiple factors (up to the 6 total); however, must pay the cost for each factor (so 60 PP + $15,000,000 to completely change your stadium). The boundaries within which you can change each factor are as follows:
- AVG 0.90-1.10 (both L+R)
- Doubles 0.80-1.20
- Triples 0.80-1.20
- Homers 0.80-1.20 (both L+R)
