Vote on Cash Question
I don't know how to post an HTML version of this, so if anyone does, please feel free to replace it. Otherwise, please reply with 1, 2, 3, or 4.
What should be the maximum amount of cash that one can receive for swapping PPT?
1. No maximum
2. $5 million
3. $3 million
4. $2 million
5. I don't think we should be able to swap PPT for cash.
The exchange rate is almost certainly going to be 10 PPT for $1 million.

Re: Vote on Cash Question
I want to vote 1, but as a PPT whore I should probably be fair and vote 2, so I will

Is that a 5 or a 1, or is it a turn off that we are voting at all?bschr682 wrote:I think this is a big turnoff.

Re: Vote on Cash Question
My stance wavered between 2 and 3 because I'm a PPT whore too, but in retrospect, no maximum is probably fine since there's a cap - as Gates put it so succintly.
Since this is much of the braintrust of the league, I think we can safely settle on no max.

I meant the whole idea of getting money just for writing on the forums is a bad idea in my opinion. I think it will scare off new owners. I don't mind having the TN requirment. As ive settled into the league ive gotten to know my team better and my opponents better so writing is easy. Starting off tho i barely made the requirement my first season. I think this gives a big edge to people who are already entrenched here. I can see scenarios in which an owner would overpay (or give extended years on a deal) a veteran knowing they can cut him a year or 2 down the road and regain some of the monetary loss just by posting on the boards.

Re: Vote on Cash Question
Almost no one has even come close to racking up 50 PPTs in a season, so I think a cap at $5 mil would be sufficient. It's enough to get you out a jam, but likely won't give a massive competitive advantage to anyone.
