Name: Ross Matthews
Bats: S
Throws: R
Birthdate: 4/12/1974
Hometown: Milwaukee, WI
Position: 3B
Picture: "FaceGen"
Bio: Nephew of former major league baseball great Eddie Mathews, he possess huge power and an uncanny ability to draw walks, but strikes out too much and won't hit for an extremely high average. He tried unsuccessfully to garner the attention of MLB scouts before deciding the MBBA was a more special league.

Name: Justin Marco
Bats: R
Throws: L
Birthdate: 10/29/1976
Hometown: Encino, Ca
Position: SP
Picture: "FaceGen"
Bio: Justin could be a top starter in the MBBA if he contiues to develope...Justin is 6' 4 220, has comande of 4 pitches, great control and can hit his spots...His fastball can get into the mid 90's with his off-speed stuff in the low 70's which really fools hitters...He has a good future ahead of him...

Name: Will "Skates" Simmons
Bats: S
Throws: R
Birthdate: 6/16/1975
Hometown: Costa Mesa, CA
Position: CF
Picture: "FaceGen"
Bio: Simmons is a baseball scouts dream. Although very raw, Simmons has amazing speed and baserunning ability to go along with a thin lanky frame that baseball scouts dream of one day having lean muscle. He's your prototypical 5 tool player... if he can grow into his very raw skills. The biggest knock on Will is he tends to hotdog too much and has rarely been told no due to his special skills set.

Name: Jin Man Park
Bats: R
Throws: R
Birthdate: 4/27 /1974
Hometown: Taiwan
Position: SP/MR
Picture:"FaceGen"
Bio: Park has played for two years overseas and has down well there...Over the 2 yrs he went 16-6 3.10 era...Park was a wicked curve ball to go along with a 91 mph fastball as his two best pitches...Park gets tired fast so when he starts he is maybe a 5 to 6 inning SP..He probably be suited as MR here in the MBBA.

Picture: "FaceGen"
Bio: Marty has a strong arm and ok range at 3B..For a HS kid has fairly good power and makes good contact..He was good enough to be listed as a top 100 spec from HS...He is very raw and could develope into a good MBBA player, but time will tell...

Name: Alex Johannsen
Bats: L
Throws: L
Birthdate: 1/28 /1974
Hometown: Tallahassee, FL
Position: SP
Picture:"FaceGen"
Bio: Johannsen has a full array of pitches in his aresenal that are pretty effective, with an average stamina and cat like reflexes off the mound, he makes for a good starting pitcher. He does not get the best of movement on his pitches, but can maintain good control of all of them, which gives him enough of an edge that leads to a nice sum of strikeouts at season's end.

Name: Matt "Seven" Saracen
Bats: R
Throws: R
Birthdate: 10/6/1978
Hometown: East Dillon, Texas
Position: SP
Bio: Saracen is a hard working, right handed pitcher. He isn't blessed with a ton of talent, but makes up for everything with hard work and a good work ethic. Plans to use his fortune made in the MBBA to take care of his grandmother and to open up an art gallery. Was best known for leading his High School football team to a state title and a state runner up. Scouts recognized his strong arm from his football playing days. He then turned that arm into a successful high school pitching career which has scouts noticing him as a potential late round draft pick.

Name: Tim Riggins
Bats: R
Throws: R
Birthdate: 10/31/1976
Hometown: Dillon, Texas
Position: 3b
Bio: The resident jock. At a young age, Riggins knew he wasn't going anywhere unless it was through athletics. He basically crapped away his schooling in favor of alcohol and women. And let's be honest, wouldn't we have all done that in high school had we been fortunate enough to do so? Luckily, Riggins was blessed with a quick bat and some solid power at the hot corner. His defense isn't great due to his relaxed work ethic and lack of overall desire. He won't put forth any extra effort than he has to.

Name: Valentine Michael Smith
Bats: L
Throws: L
Birthdate: 6/5/79
Hometown: Mars
Position: SP
Picture: FaceGen
Bio: V.M. Smith has tremendous leadership abilities and his curveball seems otherworldly at times. He talks often of wanting to grok the opposing batter, leaving his catcher befuddled. Teammates thinks he's odd, but follow his whims nonetheless. Because of his eccentricities, Smith has been traded frequently, so he often feels like a stranger in a strange land.

Name: Bruce Pearson
Bats: R
Throw: R
Birthdate: 6/5/74
Hometown: Bancroft, WV
Position: C
Bio: Henry Pearson is not particularly bright but handles pitchers well and comes through often at the plate. Has a nagging cough that he's been meaning to have a doctor check. Coaches and scouts have long underrated him, but his potential to make contact is strong and his arm even more so.

Name: Henry Wiggen
Bats: R
Throw: R
Birthdate: 9/3/71
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
Position: SP
Bio: Henry Wiggen grew up being told by coaches and relatives he'd be a phenomenal pitcher, and so he has an enormous ego to go with his talent. Witty, articulate and egocentric, Wiggen is a natural leader and quite popular with the ladies. He believes he should always be the ace of the rotation, ignores the pitching coaches but has an unwavering trust in his catcher.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, folks. We could use a few more original entries, as we are quite limited in the number of real/famous fictional people that will make it in.

How do we feel about real players that didn't make it... players like Chip Glass?

I'll go ahead and submit him.

Name: Chip Glass
Bats: L
Throw: L
Ht. 5'11" Wt. 180
Birthdate: 6/24/71
Hometown: Golden, CO
Position: CF

David Jason "Chip" Glass (born June 24, 1971 in Ukiah, California or Golden, Colorado) was an outfielder who is most notable for winning the 1994 College World Series Most Outstanding Player award while a senior at University of Oklahoma. He is one of two players from University of Oklahoma to win that award. The other is Jim Dobson.

In 1993 with Oklahoma, he hit .323 with 23 stolen bases. In 1994 with them, he hit .339 with 27 stolen bases.

Glass was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 37th round of the 1994 draft and played professionally until 2000, however he never reached the big leagues.

He began his professional career with the Watertown Indians, hitting .308 with two home runs in 237 at-bats. In 1995, he played for the Columbus Red Stixx, hitting .289 with 37 stolen bases in 115 games. With the Kinston Indians in 1996, he hit .267 with five home runs and 11 stolen bases in 479 at-bats. In 1997, he played for the Akron Aeros, hitting .259 with five home runs and 16 stolen bases in 113 games.

He played in the New York Yankees organization in 1998 and 1999. In 128 games in 1998, he hit .280 with four home runs and 15 stolen bases, splitting time between the Norwich Navigators and Columbus Clippers. He again split the 1999 season between those two teams, hitting .261 with eight home runs and 10 stolen bases in 118 games.

Glass ended his professional career with the Newark Bears in 2000, hitting .267 in 86 at-bats with them.

Obviously these are not fictional but they are not famous or well known either.

Full Name: Timothy S. Jorgensen
Born: Nov 30,1972 in Kewaunee, Wisconsin
Height: 6-3 Weight: 200
Bats: Left
Throws: Right
College: University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh
Position: 3B

Drafted: Selected by Cleveland Indians in 8th Round (222nd overall) of 1995 amateur entry draft (June-Reg) Related to MLB player Terry Jorgensen, he was named Division III outstanding player of the year in 1994.

Records come and records go, but for Tim Jorgensen a few NCAA Division III marks that he established while playing baseball for UW-Oshkosh may stand forever as they appear to be chiseled in stone.

Jorgensen, who played baseball for head coach Tom Lechnir’s Titans from 1992 to 1995, epitomized raw power. His 162-game playing career at UW-Oshkosh featured a NCAA Division III-record 70 home runs. It also included 234 hits in 563 at bats for a .416 batting average, 237 runs batted in, 200 runs scored, 33 doubles and nine triples.

Jorgensen’s career accomplishments helped UW-Oshkosh register an impressive four-year run. During that time the Luxemburg-Casco High School graduate helped the Titans fashion a 144-32 record, capture one NCAA Division III title, advance to four NCAA Division III World Series and claim four WIAC crowns.

Jorgensen, who joins his brother, Terry, as a member of the UW-Oshkosh Hall of Fame, began to make a name of his own in his first season with the Titans. Jorgensen helped UW-Oshkosh in 1992 to a 36-8 record, a WIAC championship and a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division III World Series by hitting .394 with six home runs, 43 runs scored and 35 runs batted in.

In 1993, Jorgensen battled through an injury-plagued season to help the Titans to a 28-15 record, a WIAC championship and a second-place finish at the NCAA Division III World Series. Playing in just 30 games, he hit .260 for UW-Oshkosh with two home runs and 17 runs batted in.

orgensen returned at full strength for the 1994 season and teamed with current Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher Jarrod Washburn to lead the Titans to a 41-4 record, another WIAC championship and the NCAA Division III title. Jorgensen was named the 1994 NCAA Division III Player of the Year after hitting .455 with 23 home runs, 64 runs batted in and 58 runs scored. Following the NCAA Division III World Series, Jorgensen decided not to sign a professional contract after being selected in the 28th round of Major League Baseball’s Amateur Draft by the San Diego Padres.

Jorgensen’s return for the 1995 season not only pleased his head coach, but the many fans that came to see the Titans play. Jorgensen responded to his final curtain call by posting astounding numbers and leading UW-Oshkosh to a 39-5 record, another WIAC championship and a third-place finish at the NCAA Division III World Series. Jorgensen repeated as the NCAA Division III Player of the Year that season after hitting .491 with a NCAA Division III record 39 home runs, a NCAA Division III record 121 runs batted in and 83 runs scored. In all, he established eight NCAA Division III season records, including grand slams with six.

On May 14, 1995, Jorgensen went to Tiedemann Field for a doubleheader against UW-Eau Claire. About five hours later, Jorgensen exited the ballpark with six homers and 16 runs batted in to lead the Titans to the WIAC title. In an 18-7 win in the nightcap, Jorgensen completed the rarest of cycles by hitting a solo home run, a two-run home run, a three-run home run and a grand slam. His four home runs in that game tied a NCAA Division III record.

Following the 1995 season, the Cleveland Indians drafted Jorgensen in the eighth round of Major League Baseball’s Amateur Draft. He signed with the Indians a few days later and played in the organization for the next several seasons.

Jorgensen lives in Green Bay with his wife, Ragan. The 1997 UW-Oshkosh graduate is employed by Associated Bank in Green Bay as its Assistant Vice-President for Business Banking. Jorgensen also serves as the head baseball coach at Ashwaubenbon High School.

Birthdate: 6/6/76
Hometown: Long Beach, Ca
Position: C/1B
Picture: "FaceGen"
Bio: Ruffino a big guy, 6'4 and 250 pounds.. Ruffino needs some more work behind the plate..He allows to many passed balls get by him and really needs time to work on that... Ruffino throws out a smaller percentage of runners that are stealing...He does play 1B too which he does ok but his range is not real that good... Ruffino is a average hitter with good pop,he will get his share of homers and doubles and of course is very, very slow...

Name: Johnny Ivankovic

Throws: R
Birthdate: 11/22/1977
Hometown: Pasadena, Ca
Position: SP
Picture: "FaceGen"
Bio: Ivankovic stands 6'7 big right handed SP..He has 4 pitches, his best is his curve ball followed by his fastball which he throws in the mid 90's... Ivankovic stuff is awsome as he gets many K's with his 1-2 punch curve/fastball...For his age he has pretty good control but needs to work on that a little... Ivankovic is a very smart SP, know what to throw at hitters... Ivankovic In the future could be a very good SP here in the MBBA...

Name: Laddy "Ramon's Love Child" Charleston
Bats: L
Throws: L
Birthdate: 1/27/1975
Hometown: Yellow Springs, OH
Position: SP
Picture: Choose "FaceGen"
Bio: Laddy is an odd case. All through high school and college, Laddy has had outstanding success as a starting pitcher despite throwing only a curveball/slider combination. He relied on having a strong arm and pinpoint control to either locate his hard breaking slider or his looping 12 to 6 curveball. He always seemed to keep hitters off-balance and never had a problem hitting his spots with either one of his breaking pitches.
