Alright, I think I'm ready to do this. I'm running out of duct tape and see a bunch of hungry teams on the rise. I need one solid deal to get the ball rolling. If I can't find that first deal, I may just let it ride.
On The Table
SP Erik Brooks
70 Rated Extreme Groundball pitcher with 8 Movement VS RHB. He is absolute death to right handed heavy lineups. He is listed as Durable and has only had 3 day to day injuries in his 11 seasons. Just turned 32 and is making a laughable $6 million this year and next. Still can't afford him? Throw in $5 million in cash or up the prospect haul and I'll retain half making him just a $3 million cap hit.
SP Jerry Stone
75 rated Extreme Groundball Pitcher. ERA under 3.00 each of the last 3 seasons. Just 30 years old and making $6 million also.
He does have an opt out after the season, but is looking for a reasonable $11 mil per season extension that would lock in his 2062 option of $6 mil. Did I mention he can hit too? Stone has a career of .285 in 228 career plate appearances.
SP Yoshii Takuda
Not going hide the fact that he is very injury prone. So buyer beware. But when he is on, he is on. 60 Rated 7 Movement and priced like at back end starter at $4.8/$6.5/$6.5. The last two years are team options so if he blows out his arm you can just cut bait and move on.
SP António Ramírez
Not as sexy as the others but still a solid mid rotation pitcher. 50 rated Extreme Grondballer, durable, making $8 mil this year and next then two team options at $9 mil a piece. A bit overpaid but I can always retain to fit him in your budget if I like what I'm getting back.
RP David Prigent
Very solid 65 rated bullpen arm making $3 million this year and an option of $3 mil for next. Another 7 movement groundball pitcher that has been the secret to our pitching success. He also has 4 stamina. I used him as a stopper in '56 and '57 and he did fairly well. Also has been doing great as a closer the past year plus. Team captain too
RP Patrick Rosales
Quality set up man that has been lights out in his 4 years in TWC. $4.4 mil is probably overpaid, so I'd be willing to retain some. Next two seasons are options so just ignore them.
1B Majid 'Big Papi' bin Husam
One of the best pure hitters in the league the past several seasons. 75 rated. Hits for contact, power, gap, and OBP. Plays decent enough first base to not hurt you. His contract is not good. I think I meant for the last two years to be team options and made a boo boo. He is also struggling this season. Could be a great buy low. I obviously have to retain 50% to get any conversations started. That makes his obligation to you $8 mil/$8 mil/$9 mil/$9 mil.
3B Félix 'Sky' Ramos
I was going to make him a legacy player(and still may) but if I'm burning this to the ground, it doesn't make sense to keep him. 65 Rated left handed hitting 3B/2B/1B/LF. Very versatile. Good for about 4.5 WAR a season. One of the best leadoff men in the game. 9 Eye and 8/10/11 speed. I think his contract is about right $13 mil this year and $13.6 for the next two.
CF Ed 'Mister' Rooney
I'm on the fence about trading him. He's only 26 so if he is past his prime by the time we are ready to win again, I did something wrong. Plus CF'ers are hard to find and I certainly don't have one in the pipeline. But... I will certainly listen.
RF Dane Licht
50 rated, I think he is just slumping. I'd retain 50% and trade him for your worst prospect just to cut ties and save a few bucks.
2B Juan Castillo
Team captain with some pop. Hit .292/.345/.545 last season. I'll retain 50% and take just about anything back. Making him essentially a $2.5 mil free agent signing.
1B Ricardo 'Chunk' De Jesús
Good top of the order hitter. .368 career OBP with blazing speed. Making $3 mil this year with easily declinable team options. Like Licht and Castillo.. just looking to cut ties and save a little money at this point.
What I'm Looking For
-Age 26 or younger. More controllable the better.
-Looking for SP, C, 2B, SS, CF as centerpiece of big deals. 50 pot SS are more valuable than 65 pot COF IMO
-In pitchers I like movement at least 6, 7+ is better, blue pitch ratings, high stamina, and good control.
-Fielders I value Range, Arm, Error(in that order). 8 range is not a SS/CF IMO.
-Hitters I am open to whatever they bring to the table.
-I am short on pitching spects and my most tradeable players are pitchers. So send pitchers.
-I highly value player personalities. Please no turds, disruptive or disliked players. I don't care how good they are.
