Hawaii Block -- Giving Away a Player!
Hawaii Block -- Giving Away a Player!
Hawaii Tropic Trade Block

Giving away C Riley Hinson. A solid backup catcher, old, and with a hefty contract. But if you need a bat for another 2 years that can step up and be productive, then he's yours. I'll take a stick of a gum, a grilled cheese sandwhich or a pickle spear for him, just want him out of here.
~~~
Hawaii requires another #2 or #3 starter. Someone who can be expected to win 10-15 games a year.
Many young prospects are available for the right deal, including:
SP Rene Moncada - Moncada is 25, and can already fill into a end-of-the-rotation/emergency starter role. Moncada is also an excellent candidate for a Relief-Pitcher conversion. With rocket-scientist Intelligence, and a fantastic Work Ethic, there's no reason Moncada can't be successful in the future.
SP Chase Pack - Pack looks to become a fantastic pitcher in the future, with a repertoire of pitches that's nearly unrivaled. Pack is only 27, and I would have him as a back-end starter, but in the innings pitched for Hawaii last year, he wasn't too much of a stud. Pretty sure Pack would be a complete steal if he gets a change in scenery.
LF Charles Brewster - Brewster is a fantastic fielder with speed to burn teams on the basepaths. He projects to be an adequate-starter or a fantastic roaming outfielder off the bench. With enough contact and power, Brewster isn't going to hit 40 homeruns, but can most deffinitly stretch routine plays into singles or more.
C Brian Almy -- Almy was brought in to start this year at the 2, unfortunately for him, other deals were made and he got shifted to the back of the bus. Almy is 26, already shows signs of terrific gap hitting, as well as an eye honed enough to not warrant worries about too many strikeouts. He's adequate defensively and has shown the ability play 1st. With a high Work Ethic and decent intelligence, Almy can only go up.
Re: Hawaii Block
So we've done away with the PM's and are now negotiating in public? This adds a whole other level of strategy.
