Vancouver on the Road 4/28 thru 5/11

Post by scottsdale_joe » Tue Apr 26, 2011 5:48 pm

Vancouver will be away from April 28th through May 11th on the first of four trips between now and October.
We'll be driving to Louisville for my annual Kentucky Derby fix, stopping along the way and way back to visit friends and family.

I will not be running my scheduled sims on Mondays on May 2nd or May 9th. Matt will take over.
I will have my computer and internet access almost every night, so I shouldn't miss any exports.
I will be checking email, the boards, and PMs.
Mountie Mania reports are likely to be brief or non-existent during this period. There is lots of beer (and the odd mint julep) to be drunk.

well the canucks managed to win. had they lost in that OT in game 7 after having been up 3 games to none, there really would have been anarchy in Vancouver. :D

I kind of pseudo follow hockey these days.
Hoping the Bruins take game 7 from the Habs.
My Dad and I shared Bruin season tickets for 25 years from when I was in high school (1958 or so) until the early 80's.
I earned the money for my share with a paper route the first few years and then from part-time jobs while in college.

So who's traveling to Vancouver, dressing in a Joe suit, and trading Wookey for a bag of tube socks while he's gone?

Bruins vs Habs game 7 tonight in Boston.
Two original teams.
Can't be beat.
If only Jean Beliveau and Ferny Flaman were still playing.

I'm home until May 21st when the next trip starts.

BEST Kentucky Derby trip EVER!
I had the Oaks/Derby Double, $50 win on Animal Kingdom, a $10 Animal Kingdom / Nehro exacta, and a $2 trifecta.
I missed the huge superfecta.
That's on top of seven winners on Oaks day (Friday).

I will!
I drank soooo many beers on Friday and Saturday.
It reminded me of the old drunken Derby days.
My wife volunteered to be the DD.
She bets what I bet, so she's very happy too.
