How many innings do you try to get your expected season starters to throw during Spring Training?

You can choose two values, if you want, and explain. For example, maybe you want to get your top 4 starters a certain number of innings and your fifth/sixth guy less... Explain your answers if you like. For example: my starters don't need more than 12 innings, so that's all they get. Or: My starters need 30 innings so I start them every four games in the Spring.

ha, I realize that those higher numbers aren't realistic with only about 30 games of ST

I use pitch count in ST, starting at 40 and usually going up to 80 or 90, so that works out to be around 20 to 22 innings, I think. Less if they're getting shelled.

I haven't ever really thought about a specific number. Interesting question.

I use batters faced. Keep it low.

During ST I don't use any limiting factors, such as batters faced or innings/outing because the game automatically limits starters to between two and five innings per start.
