75th Anniversary Brewster Gathering
Hey everyone,
The GB has been discussing the idea of organizing an in person gathering to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the league. We've decided that it will probably be safe to do this to coincide with the 2047 championship series, sometime in August.
Our proposed location is Las Vegas.
I want this poll to serve as a place to gauge interest and be a place for us to discuss.
Please vote and share your thoughts!

Re: 75th Anniversary Brewster Gathering
I think this is a great idea assuming things are safe by August. Vegas could also be interesting, although other locations could be fun as well...like Cooperstown, although I am guessing flights would be harder to get there. I mostly bring up another location because I don't drink but I still think it would be a great time.

Love the idea, but love my balls more and my wife would have them if I left her home alone with a crazy one year old while being 8 months pregnant.

Re: 75th Anniversary Brewster Gathering
So I may already be going to Vegas in the fall for when the Ravens play out there. So I'm probably out unless it was that weekend. I don't think it's scheduled yet.

Yeah, the ease of flights are definitely a big reason for choosing Vegas.niles08 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 2:08 pmI think this is a great idea assuming things are safe by August. Apart from the fact I very much doubt travelling to the US will be allowed by then , there’s absolutely no way I as a pensioner would be able to afford the thousand odd quid that this would entail

Re: 75th Anniversary Brewster Gathering
Kids head back to college in mid-Aug and we're already taking a vacation in late July so I would probably be out. I've been bugging the wife about maybe letting me go to Vegas with the boys around my 50th birthday though so if it gets moved to mid-November(ish) I would probably have a better shot at going.

There's still a bit of a chance I might even be living in Vegas by that time ... though who knows. Regardless, it would be great fun.

Re: 75th Anniversary Brewster Gathering
I’d be in except August is awful for me as we’re taking a family camping trip to either Glacier or Yellowstone for the second week of the month. Later in the month and I may be able to swing it.

Re: 75th Anniversary Brewster Gathering
I won't rule it out. any chance I can get to go to Vegas I take.
But I'm heading to Washington state over Labor Day in September as it appears concerts are happening again and DMB is touring.

Re: 75th Anniversary Brewster Gathering
Vegas is a pretty easy flight for me, but August is shaping up to be pretty busy. I will try to seize the day and make it happen if it works though.
