And now, Round 1 match-ups:
BURGER/HOT DOG/SANDWICH REGION - Part 2
(4) Nashville's "Bluebird' Best Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich" vs (29) Atlantic City's "The AC/DC"
Nashville was considered long and hard for the overal number one seed but that doesn't mean they have a cakewalk. Atlantic City's Italian sub is a classic and caters to nearly all. On the flip side, not everyone can handle Nashville hot chicken. Diehards will say this is no contest and Nashville should win easily but much like hot chicken, this could leave Nashville sweating it out.
(13) Omaha's "The Runza" vs (20) Boise's "Big League Jalapeño Crunch Burger"
A match-up of two simple yet delicious options. Stuffed beef and melted cheese is as comforting as you can get, but then again, who doesn't love a bacon cheeseburger with an added twist?
(5) Twin Cities' "The Juicy Lucy Burger" vs (28) Louisville's "The Kwakou Burger"
Burger on burger showdown. A touch match-up for Louisville as their nuanced "you won't believe it until you try it" option goes ups against the mother of all cheeseburgers.
(12) Hawaii's "The Hawaiian Outrigger Dog" vs (21) Yellow Springs' "The Big Niner"
Some believe Hawaii was seeded too high while others say The Big Niner deserved more respect. Hawaii's option features sinfully delicious bacon and a glazed hot dog bun, but do those things together along with pineapple and a strawberry sauce make for a good dog? I say yes, but it's a lot of different flavors and sweetness that could cause an upset. On the other hand, The Big Niner is just a girthy wiener begging to be swallowed. Yellow Springs' may need to stump on its behalf and extol the virtues of all it's different varieties.

Re: Ballpark Food Challenge - Round 1 (#2 of 4)
Nine fans love their Big Niner a multitude of ways in addition to the Nacho, Raw Dog, and Columbo style already mentioned. As concession associate Bubba Blue, IV says “The Big Niner is the supermodel of the sea. You can dress it out and barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, Big Niner-kabobs, Big Niner creole, Big Niner gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's the pineapple Niner, the lemon Niner, the coconut Niner, and the pepper Niner, for the geriatrics, there’s Big Niner soup and Big Niner stew. Throw in some lettuce and it’s a Big Niner salad, add chips for a Big Niner and potatoes meal, slap it on a hamburger bun for a Niner burger, put it on flatbread and you got you Big Niner sandwich.
“We try to keep everyone happy,” said concession manager Kylie Ray Jenson.
In October the club runs special “Double Niner” nights, in which you can choke on two Big Niners for the price of one. “That’s always tough,” said John Mainard, another big fan. “I get two Big Niners in one night and it puts my ass to sleep. But it’s like that second Big Niner gives my wife insomnia and all she wants are more and more Big Niners.”
“Um-hmmm,” his wife said at his side. “I do love me them Big Niners.”

I'm surprised you left out all the health benefits of a Big Niner...

Quite worthy of a 5-seed, if I do say so myself.
