There were only two injuries of note this last sim and they both effect the Johnson League.
Rockville Pikemen- The first of these long term injuries was to Pikemen Starter Dave Martin. Martin left the game against the Charm City Jimmies after 3 2/3 innings of scoreless ball. Martin was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff and will be out the next 13 months. Rumors out of Rockville is that the team will buy out Martin at some time here in the future. At 36 years old, with a salary of $10 million through the 2046 season and a rehab that may have some negative effect on his ratings, this will more than likely happen.
Martin began his career as the 14th pick in the 12th Round of the 2026 Draft by the New Orleans Crawdads. He made his debut at age 20 in 2029 and pitched for New Orleans until 2036 when he was traded to the Rockville Pikemen. He has pitched in 583 games, starting 402 going 182-126 with 102 saves and a 4.18 ERA.
Mexico City Aztecs- Rookie Ed Lynch has been shelved for he next five months with shoulder inflammation. Lynch has made 18 appearances, 16 starts, going 2-8 with a 5.32 ERA. The young flame thrower has thrown 93 innings and averages about 91 pitches a game this season.
Will Jeff ‘The Animal’ Weber or Brady ‘Channel Cat’ Miller get the call to eat some innings for the Aztecs?
