

Edmonton Jackrabbits- Jackrabbits SS Pepe Espinosa separated his shoulder in a collision at second with Pikemen first baseman Colin Lee. Espinosa will be out for the next 6 weeks for the Frontier Division leader Jackrabbits. 2B Joey Nethersole may slide over to play short and should provide good defense.
El Paso Chili’s- El Paso RF Luis Maldonado pulled up with an apparent hamstring injury in a game against the Calgary Pioneers on June 24th. Maldonado was between first and second when he grabbed his hammy and limped into second. He was removed from the game and examined by Team Trainer Hector Ramon. Ramon confirmed that Maldonado had strained his hamstring but would be able to return in 3 weeks. Maldonado is having a rebound season for the Chili’s/Aviators after two down seasons prior.
San Fernando Bears- Bears Starter Felipe Guevara is out for 6 weeks with a strained forearm. Guevara felt some tightness in is forearm in a game against the Valencia Stars. The Bears are hoping that this isn’t a condition caused by something more severe.
Atlantic City Gamblers- CF Cinema Jones fractured his finger and will miss the next 5 weeks. He had missed a month this season with plantar fasciitis. Edward Lake will probably move to center and face both righties and lefties.
