Seattle Storm- Storm CF Alexander Julyan will miss the next 5 to 6 weeks with back spasms. Julyan has had a great start to the season slashing .350/.433/.655 with 13 homers and 31 RBI and posting a 2.7 WAR.

Calgary Pioneers- The Pioneers lost Ken Bates for 13 months to a torn UCL. The 33 year old had suffered bone chips in his elbow and a torn meniscus in the last year. Rumblings out of Calgary are that Bates has played his last game for Calgary.

Chicago Black Sox- 1B Joaquin Hebner has been sidelined with plantar fasciitis. Black Sox team doctors say he will probably miss 5 weeks. He has had some knee soreness and a strained oblique earlier this season. Small nagging injuries have plagued him his entire career.

Sacramento Mad Popes- The Mad Popes had some bad news after a win over the Chicago Black Sox as they were told by Team TrainerVirgil Vaughn that P Mark Perkins will miss the rest of the season after a rupture of his UCL. He will undergo surgery and will require 11 months of recovery.

Is this when we will see the debut of Lefty Kevin O’Toole?

Phoenix Talons- LF Natsume Kondo took a pitch off his wrist in the first inning of a game against the Charm City Jimmies. Kondo will miss about 3 to 4 weeks.

The Hebner injuries have been tough because he’s one of the few Sox who have hitting consistently. We’ve been using him against righties and lefties but may need to platoon him when he comes back.

Man, I can’t believe I missed this. Im curious why you picked out O’Toole out of all the guys sitting in AAA.

-- Cobble Hill Robins 2063-?
Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

He has over 200 innings in AAA and a 3.77 FIP. Nothing left to prove in AAA.
