Great Performances – Sim 11

Featuring great performances of the EBA, hopefully at least one per team per sim. Game
score, if applicable,is before player's name, as -##-.

If a team doesn't have an official “top performance” in any given week, I will report a
previously-unreported one or something else studly about their team.


Stats immediately following a player's name are as of the date of the great performance.


NOTES
* Brad Sharples now holds 4 spots on Top 25 Game Score list for batters
* Jay Anderson becomes 3rd EBA player with 7 rbis in a game


Amsterdam (43-47 4th WA)

7/2
-81- Bob Stenis (9-6, 2.64) pitches eight shut out innings, allowing 4 hits and a walk
while striking out 8 in a 2-0 win over Rome. P Anthony Petit collects his 17th save.


Belfast (62-28 1st EA)

7/2
-56- SS Augustus Brenner (.315-16-66), batting third, goes 2-2, with a home run, two
walks, three runs, and three rbis in a 13-10 win over Paris. Brenner is fourth in the
league with 67 rbis.


Brussels (28-61 4th EA)

7/7
-57- CF Brad Sharples (.330-27-78), batting third, goes 3-3 with a home run and four
rbis in a 10-5 win at Rome. He leads the league in Hrs, RBIs, TB, SLG, OBS, ISO, and
VORP.

Two days later Sharples hits two home runs in the first ever EBA All-Star Game.


London (41-48 3rd EA)

-78- Daniel Russel (9-5. 3.80) throws a nine-inning complete game, his first of the
season, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, striking out 9, in a 10-2 win over Rome.


Madrid (44-44 2nd WA)

-NA- C Barden Craske (.266-5-42), batting eighth, drives in 5 runs with a 3-run home
run and a single in a 7-4 win over Paris.


München (51-37 1st WA)—from a previous sim

-76- Fineen Duly (4-2, 5.47) throws 8 shut out innings in an 11-2 home win over Paris.
Garin Schoettlekotte (5.93) pitches the ninth and allows 2 runs.


Paris (44-46 2nd WA)

7/7
-71- RF Jay Anderson (.329-3-34), hitting sixth, goes 3-4 with two home runs and 7 rbis
(tying the league high) before departing for pinch hitter in the seventh inning of a 13-3
road
win over Madrid.


Rome (43-45 3rd EA)

7/5
-NA- LF Joseph Lewis (.188-0-5), batting seventh, goes 2-4 with two doubles and three
rbis in an 8-5 win over Brussels.

Jay Anderson was a 1998-1999 September "phenom" for the Bandits.
