Madison 12 - Omaha 1
Andrew Torres had himself a game for the Wolves. Torres went 2-4, hitting a pair of homeruns and driving in 6 RBI. Torres has had a down year by his standards this season, somehow posting a negative WAR at the moment. Natanael Barral added a homerun as well in the win, his 12th of the season. Timo Dooley allowed 2 of the homeruns to Madison in the loss. Dooley allowed 6 runs on 8 hits and a walk over 4.1 innings pitched. Raul Luna didn't allow a homerun, but he did walk 7 batters (that's patience by a manager right there). He only allowed 1 hit but that added up to 4 runs allowed over 1.2 innings pitched.

Calgary 11 - Mexico City 1
Robinson Trujillo came on to pinch-hit in the 7th inning and made his lone at-bat count. With 2 outs in the inning, and the Marauders leading 8-1, Trujillo belted Sergio Vazquez's pitch over the wall for a 3-run homerun. That was the FUBAR difference! Werner McConnell had a 3 run homerun of his own as Rios and Karyabwite added 2 run shots of their own. So 10 of the 11 Calgary runs came via the long-ball. Scotty Pendleton and Vazquez allowed 2 homeruns each in the game for Mexico City, allowing 6 and 5 runs each.
Omaha 22 - Des Moines 3
Omaha scored a touchdown in the 3rd and 8th innings, added field goals in the 4th and 7th innings. The got the scoring going with a safety in the first. All of this on 23 combined team hits. So many places to start in this one: Hamilton, Ly, and Deortez hit 2 homeruns EACH!; Shafer, Morales, and Deortez had 4 hits each; Deortez had 4 RBI; Shafer, Ly, and Morales had 3 apiece; Hamilton led the way with 5 RBI. Unfortunately the Kernels did not use a position player on the mound. They instead just let their regular arms get torched. Sa allowed 8 runs over 2.2 innings to start. Curva gave up 4 in 2.2 innings. Reyes came on to allow 8 more runs in 2.2 innings of work. Garcia only needed to get the final out of the game, but allowed 2 more runs in trying to do so! Yikes!
