2063 - RBBAGOTW #2 - Fun With Maps

Post by CTBrewCrew » Sat Jun 07, 2025 11:47 am

In this Viz we talk a look at where all the current players who were born in the USA only hail from. To start you will see the Viz broken down by regions, EAST, WEST, SOUTH, and CENTRAL. Hover over and you will total number of players who were born in that region. If you click on a Region, it will show you the states in that region, again hovering over a state will show you the list of players from that state, click again, and you will see the counties in that state, hover over a county and see the players from that county, and finally click a county and you will see the city's players were from in that county.

The darker the blue the higher the number, and for the cities the bigger the circle the more players from that City.

In clicking around I see that we have some hot spots, (73 players hail form the windy city), and we have ZERO players from the state of Vermont.

I was able to zoom and see that we have our very own Milford, CT player in the BBA :) Ill be rooting for this kid.

I wanted to get something out quickly for this, I think a version 2.0 I will see if i can work organizational filters in it.

Until then poke around and enjoy!

Born in the BBA USA

Looks like you used all BBA players ever vs active players? Great to see Chicago still reign supreme.

I think i just exported all active inc minors and fa. Its only like 7k players in total.

I found Chicago / cook county in general to be the biggest surprise also. I thoght somewhere in California would be tops
