Suggestions to governing board

I would like to see a way to get items in front of the governing board for their consideration. I would set up something where a proposal needs to get 2 agreeing GMs before it can go before the governing board. The governing board's vote determines whether the idea is accepted and any changes beyond the original submittal.

So, say I wanted a DH. I post that "I propose that MBBA implements the DH." Someone comes behind me in the reply and says, "I think we need to limit it to one league." Someone comes behind that and says, "I agree. And that league should be the Johnson League." I reply to that latest post saying "I agree." Or, alternately, 2 people can post yes votes on that latest version (that would be 3 overall including the original poster of the latest version). If the OP agrees, then it would just need 2 more yes votes on the thread.

Once that is done, the item goes before the board for their consideration. Thoughts?

Just as a spoiler, I hate the DH rule. But this idea came along with considering that I would rather see overall ratings/potential be "per position" rather than as compared to the entire MBBA.
