Yeah, no way I wanted to pay Murillo that much. Too much risk involved.

I think it's a great deal... Not much risk in handing out 2 year contract.

Woah wait a minute... how does CL Ramon Suarez become a free agent??? WTF? I am at work all night and don't have access to the game. He was my #7 prospect! He was not arb eligible, and just added to the 40 man last year. Can someone please research this for me? I don't want to lose that guy!!

Didn't see the team option on year two, well worth it.

Y'all don't even know what my top 3 guys are wanting for contract extensions for 2037. Twin Cities is going to be a huge victim of OOTP19 changes if Ted is right. Imagine 3 guys trying to tie up almost 60% of your salary cap... lol.

Man, good on CCJ for getting that deal, but the mechanics of it make no sense. Seems that he could have gotten a lot more guaranteed from another team. And especially since his ask was like 4/$13.5. Could have done some more negotiating methinks...

I’m as surprised as you. Figured it was possible to get, but not this early. I’ll take it.

i actually got myself a good random signing!! 11/11/4/5/10 as a (maybe) COF will do. Plus he is somewhat developed for 16 at 3/4/1/2/2

Got a solid 8/9/6/6/7 2B last sim apparently. Could be a future RP too. Probably a RH specialist, but I'll take it. Probably will have to be a LF though unless the range bumps. Solid prospect, but I want one of those stud ones. 11 contact is insane.

Ugh, screw Murrilo. Offered 3 guaranteed years and 1 team option for about 11M per. Grats on the terrific deal, CC.

Sounds very similar to what I offered. 3 or 4 guaranteed at about $11 with a couple TOs.

this bidding war for a guy who is a walking DL stint and has never made it a full season as a starter is a bit odd....

Well I don't think it's fair to hold it against him that he's never been given a chance to be a starter. All his ratings say he's a top starter, and all pitchers are injury risks.

He was far and away the best pitcher available. That alone is enough for a bidding war.
