Good 6-2 sim for Seattle. We're in the running for both the division and the WC. Should be a good final month.

Can't complain too much - other than massacring Chicago I didn't really have that good of a sim and I held onto the wild card lead.

2 homeruns shy of the record and Kengos goes down for a month. He is determined to force my hand in offering him an extension. I'm not doing it if he breaks the record. But the thought of not bringing him back to break it in a Wolves uniform can't happen either. sheesh...

Wolves go 4-5 and only lose a game to YS in the standings so not bad. Hoffman had a blow up in one game against Atlantic City that had a Wolves win in the bag. We were up 5-0 going to the 8th but gave up 11 in the 8th and 9th . And Hoffman took the loss so I assume 6 of those 11 runs were charged to him. Closed out the sim with some nice 1-0 games between Buffalo and I. Solo homeruns each way won both games.

Obviously anything can happen, but with the exception of the FL Pacific, the division races all have some separation in them. The Wild Cards are being hotly contested right now.

Only needs two homers in September to do it, so I don't know if you'll need to bring him back, but if you do, he could certainly do it in part-time status. You wouldn't have to START him.

Tough to justify paying him the $6.5-7 million he's asking for just to play part time and break a record. With Hoffman in the fold, I'm thinking playoffs again next season... That's a lot of cap space to tie up for someone to hit a few homeruns. But you can bet I'll pay it if he doesn't hit #704 and #705 before the season ends.

Those 2 games were amazing - and as far as Kengos' injury - he went in trying to break up a double play, and succeeded. He should know how to slide properly by now! 8)

5-4 and Aicon looked pretty good. Here's hoping he gets a start vs Madison in his new home ballpark and throws a no hitter.

Meh 3-7. With Ginori out and no other good pitchers to replace him with, we become a team that allows more runs than one of the JLs best offenses can produce

4-4 sim and GAINED 2.5 games on the wild card, only 3 back... What is going on in Hawaii and Yellow Springs? Young and Clayton continue their strong play of the last 2 months, Ron Holmes didn't suck again. Very odd season overall in Omaha...
