Not the sort of pick I usually make, but when your first pick is 34 whoever you take is gonna have some warts. I'm hoping the 3-star rating means that 7 contact is a high 7. Even if it's just a normal 7 he's really good defensively and the top rated shortstop in the draft, and I figure I can use that kind of player, but that meant passing up some legitimate talent at the hitting positions.
Was hoping Diaz might slide down to me at the top of the 2nd round. I must have been predicting about right if half the guys I've been targeting for #44 were taken in the last 8 picks or so. Couple more on the list still that will fit nicely in The Plan so we'll see how it works out.
Guess that means he had no chance of slipping to me at 75

I think a lot of people may have passed up on Bowen cause he is listed as a 1B. Should be a decent league average starting catcher. Worst case scenario he has some splits for the short side of a platoon. Oh and I promise to change his position to catcher before the next expansion draft.
Bowen wasn't
the guy I was hoping would fall, but he was one of 3 I was kind of hoping would slip through the cracks.

Well... I was hesitant to draft him. He was the last guy I had left on my draft list... all the others got picked.
It was 10:30PM my time and OOTPOU said I had until 11:45PM to make my pick. I didn't have access to the league files and I really don't like using OOTPOU to research draft picks... I works ok, but I like to double check early draft picks in the game too. Why? I don't know, it makes me feel better.
Not that my draft success is any good... lol.
Anyway, it was late, I was tired from going to the gym, so I just said Fuck It and picked him.
Speaking of that. I thought the Draft Clock got suspended during the evenings? I was surprised to see I had to make my pick last night when I got the email that I was on the clock.
Can someone check on that?

I don't know if it's suppose to be or not. But I don't think it ever has since I've been here. Definitely been auto'd in the middle of the night before. So not sure what it's suppose to be. But to me, it should be.

I think it gets suspended after something like 10 pm mountain time (which can be after us east coasters go to bed).

I guess it's not really a problem, but has the window been changed? Either that or I literally missed the exact two hours I shouldn't have missed.

Looking at the emails, I see it's the later...I was out of the literally as the clock turned, and returned literally when it turned again.
Oh well, maybe my guy will bump a little.

Bad time for me to get busy...love French at #1 but did not like my second auto pick with "very low" work ethic and intelligence. Never pick those kind of players when I'm drafting. Sucks because I wanted to put more time into this draft but the cards didn't fall right :/

Ok. Now I'm pissed. I didn't turn the auto draft off. My guys still aren't taken...if I can get them replaced that would be great. If not, I understand.

I'm with tyler (and for the record I was against changing the #2 pick for stu as well, even said so at the time).

Moelling and Ita are both such good picks at this point in the draft.

How'd he get a player picked for him then? OOTPU error?

May have taken Gallegos too high, but been looking for a guy that can throw a decent screwball since Ace Young.

I had Ita on my list, but had to go with the 6/8/6 lefty that will be able to play a solid RF.
