The Johannesburg Gold extend their congratulations to their AAA team, the Durban Dockers, for winning the AAA Championship. After an 83-61 season that saw them just barely edge out the London Monarchs' franchise by 2 games, the Dockers made quick work of the Victoria Purple Knights, destroying them in a four game sweep.

"We're delighted by the work of this awesome mix of savvy veterans looking for an opportunity and young players we've both drafted and signed as free agents," said General Manager L. Eague Control III. "They battled hard and despite us pulling a bunch of their starting pitching throughout the season, found a way to keep winning, and to carry that winning right through to the post-season."
