Moscow Playoff Hopes Officially Zero
The Moscow Thunder Bears will have to play out the rest of the season without any glimmer of hope for a late-season playoff push. The club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention this week. The Thunder Bears started their inaugural season with high hopes but fell short of owner expectations. Owner Razvan Carstea is said to be extremely angry that the club did not reach their goal of playing .500 baseball but understands the challenges of filling out a first-time roster and then getting those players to jell as much as you can.
GM Brandon Tucker has been retained for a 2nd season but also understands the expectations and demands from Carstea going into the 2060 season.

The Thunder Bears have reason to be optimistic after a surprising season from switch hitting 3B/DH Maximilian Nielsson.
Nielsson is a 13 year Pro veteran with great leadership capabilities and work ethic.
He had stints in the show with Calgary, San Fernando, Edmonton, Boise, Twin Cities, and most recently Mexico City before signing in the GBC with Moscow on 1/27/2059.
Nielsson's stats as of 9/15:
AVG: .299
OBP: .397
SLG: .459
WAR: 3.2
He is currently leading the league in Walks with 78 and OBP with .397
Moscow is currently in negotiations with Nielsson and is rumored to have offered a one-year deal worth 2,000,000 to remain a Thunder Bear for the 2060 season.
They have also extended the contract of EwungaGoiba Ghera to a one-year extension worth a total of 1,450,000. Ghera was recently acquired in a trade from the Sao Paulo Pilots organization.
Moscow has seven games remaining in their inaugural season and will compete with determination and resilience over this final week.
