The St. Petersburg Slugger | 59.06

Bears downward spiral continues

When the Thunder Bears started their series against the division leading Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers, they were still reeling from a late inning collapse against the World Champion Monarchs that would have given Moscow the sweep in the series. Ricardo Quadrado pitched an absolute gem of a game, scattering 5 hits over 7 innings, only to have it slip away as the closer was tattooed for 3 runs on 4 hits, including a homer in just 1 inning of work.

Since then, Moscow has dropped 6 of 7, including getting swept by fellow expansion team the Johannesburg Gold.
Baseball is a game of ups and downs, and with players returning from injury reserve, the Bears could be poised for a comeback.
Let’s see if they can end their skid and string together some wins in an effort to approach. 500 baseball.
The schedule does not get any easier as Cairo and Tokyo come to town, followed by a road trip to Sydney, where the sharks certainly smell blood in the water.

Moscow needs to find it's way before the season completely unravels. Team Captain Carlos Arroyo is said to have held a closed door meeting with the team in hopes to right the ship.

That's not a fun stretch of games coming up, taking one from Jerusalem the way they're playing though should count for about 5
