2061 Opening Day Preview - Cairo Edition

After an uneventful offseason consisting of trying to recover from accidentally breaking the rules, Cairo has made it to opening day ready to three peat. Here are some guys that are going to make the final cut for the 27 man roster that are new faces on this year's Cairo Pharaohs club:

RP Na'il Mu'ayyad - This mountain of a man sitting at 6'9 was drafted in the third round of the 2055 GBC draft and is ranked as the number 93 prospect by OSA in the GBC. Na'il carries 5 pitches in his arsenal which are headlined by a great fastball and good sinker. He is the youngest on this Cairo roster (22) and is from Kuwait.

C Milos Brabeuecs - Other than a last name that you cannot pronounce at first glance, this rookie catcher was selected in the fifth round in the 2054 GBC draft and the number 61 prospect by OSA. He has good defense for his position and has above average power. However, he cannot do much else and is our starting catcher by default.

SP Julio Garcia - Coming over from the BBA after an unremarkable career, this 26 year old is looking to revive his career in the GBC. He will be a middle of the rotation arm for this Pharaohs team as he looks to prove himself to be worthy of a spot on team in a win now mode.

RP Evgeny Daibov - Acquired in a trade that moved over star SP Afzul Chishti's contract, this former first round pick is known for his plus plus slider from a sidearm approach. He will not see too much action as he will be torched by left handed batters, but he will certainly get playing time against teams with right handed batters.
