So this first entry is a combined thread creation and first number officially retired.

Who else but Blair 'Breezy' Peyton to have his number 32 retired while still an active player. This action was one of the agreements the club made for the Las Vegas native to agree to a $2M reduction in straight cash. Also included in the stipulation was an outfield seating section designated as Peyton Place. And a pyramid constructed at the famous Giza complex across the river from Pyramid Park, the team's stadium. As posted elsewhere, through 2058, 'Breezy' leads the team in Games Played (932) and Hits (1305). His hits totals include a streak of 214, 209, 234, 219, 218, 211. He led the GBC in steals in 2056 (47) and 2058 (66); and posted a GBC-best 7.9 WAR in 2058). In his career he has won two times for best fielder and two times for Playoff Series MVP. He has won one GBC Hitter of the Year trophy and finished runner-up in that awards three times. As of 2058 he is the highest-ranked centerfielder in the GBC. He was a first-round draft selected in 2049 and agreed to a one million dollar signing bonus.
