This Post Is About Glazing Blair Peyton.

If you know Pharaohs baseball, you know who Blair Peyton is. The prototypical leadoff man. Does not strike out. Hits balls in the gap. Not only does he hold the most steals in a year in GBC history, he also holds the record for the highest zone rating for a center fielder in a single season as well. He's just perfect. There are no titles in 2059 or 2060 without Peyton. There are no good pitchers on this team without Peyton in center field. He's just him.

And in 2061, he has gotten even better. He is now over 60 games in and this season is special. So far, his OPS+ is 165, easily a career high. He is pacing for over 50 doubles and 10 home runs, both easily career highs. His zone rating at center field is "only" sitting at 8.0 but has not committed a single error on top of that. The craziest one of them all is his steal count; he is on pace for over 90 steals, and no man in the GBC has hit 70 yet. Hell, no player has gotten to 90 steals in the BBA since whatever crack was spread around to the base stealers in the 2030's. And obviously, WAR is the only thing that some people believe in when it comes to baseball, and Peyton naturally generates quite a bit of it. He has already cracked 5.2 WAR in the middle of June, only 2 behind his 2060 MVP season*, pacing for an insane 12.3 year.

I might be overreacting with how good his numbers are in a full season at his current pace. He still has nearly 100 games left. God forbid he gets hurt - although he just so happens to have the iron man tag. But you know what, what if he DID end up with those gaudy numbers?

*Blair Peyton did not win the 2060 MVP. This is my headcanon of the GBC.
